What are you grateful for?

Updated: Apr 3, 2022

Our positive mind awakens a range of pleasant feelings, like empathy, appreciation, love, compassion and gratitude.

While our mental chatter let us feel unhappy by focusing on all we are lacking of in our life, the positive mind help us to feel gratitude for the many things we do have.

Research on positive psychology shows that, taking time out every day to note what we're grateful for, has a real impact on our level of happiness and effectiveness.

So let's activate more our positive mind!

As of now, as often as you can, take just a short moment to feel gratitude for the many things in work and life that you might take for granted.

This is different from waiting for big accomplishments and successes to feel happy.

You can feel gratitude about many daily things, such as having a sunny day, being healthy, the warmth of a hot drink in a cold day, about the taste of your favourite chocolate, about a bird singing on your way to work, about the comfortable chair you are sitting on, about someone holding the door for you, a nice message of a friend...

If you choose to notice, you can find so much to be grateful for, every day, several times a day.

This is a fabulous way to activate our positive mind. Once it's activated, we have greater access to more helpful perspectives and strategies, that help us handle the challenges in our day better. And this generates more positive outcomes for us to be thankful for.

That's how gratitude snowballs on itself.

So take an instant to acknowledge what are you grateful for so far and keep noting it.

With gratitude for your interest,

Angie
